Company The department Control Systems is organized within the department of Product Development, Gothenburg.Within the Control Systems department we work with development and design of electronic control systems for Volvo's heavy and medium duty diesel engines and gearboxes.Our specific responsibility is to develop driveline software functionality and related components for driveline management.This includes development of electronic hardware, software, practical application and optimisation for all engines and automatic gearboxes.It is a rapidly growing area within product development and the section is today about 150 people.Job Description Application leader will be responsible for planning, coordinating, follow-up and delivery of datasets within a project.This means that a plan for application work need to be defined which include engine, vehicle, OBD, after treatment optimization and all other dataset produced during application.Application leader will communicate results from application to project management i.e.feedback on engine performance, emission compliance, fuel consumption etc.Application leader will from function development domain receive built software and a default dataset.As application leader you will be responsible for: .Together with Control systems project leader, plan and communicate resource demand to project management .Have overall responsibility that application data are handled according to dataset process..Keep track of parameter changes and spread information regarding new parameter settings that should be used in the project..Manufacturing test, field test, endurance engines etc .Deliver datasets for releases, external and internal .Deliver complete application plan to the project Qualifications Required competence Tools .Knowledge in version handling tools for datasets (e.g.PVCS and DMT) .Microsoft Office tools .ATI Vision or similar Skills .Configuration management .Application process inclusive Data set management .Planning, coordination and communication .Leadership (Team level) .Good organizing skills .Willing to learn new things .Strong drivingforce and energy level .Result oriented, looking for improvement in our business processes .Fluent in English, both written and spoken..Knowledge in calibration of engine, transmission or aftertreatment systems are a benefit.
