ABB Low Voltage motors develops, manufactures and sells electric motors to industry worldwide in the most existing industry segments and applications. We are the world leader in low voltage motors. We support every industry and application to find a good solution and to reach new levels of efficiency and energy savings even under the most demanding conditions.
In this role you will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing opportunities to grow within target applications in line with the agreed strategy. You will drive creation of application-specific value propositions based on current offerings and make available best practices, tools and expertise needed for sales units to select the right offerings and communicate the value proposition effectively.


Your responsibilities
Define and implement application strategy for profitable growth. Identify current strongholds and growth opportunities, prioritize initiatives, outline aspirations and develop and maintain action plans. Follow up and report financial key figures for implemented initiatives.
Understand and define current market segmentation and related product positioning, monitor market and technology trends within the application.
Benchmark competitive offerings and strategy, identifying customer value proposition and deriving potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition and new market opportunity, and provide appropriate market information for long- to mid-term decision making.
Ensure that ABB’s value proposition and product positioning for the target application are developed and well communicated both internally and externally.
Define new offering needs based on application strategy, customer requirements and target prices. Provide inputs to product management and align with overall portfolio roadmaps. Identify best practices, the needs for external and internal trainings and existing know-how related to the application within the organization and ensure effective sharing.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, sales or marketing.
Good knowledge of electrical motor applications, markets and customer needs.
Capability to translate customer needs and requirements into new and original ideas, approaches and solutions to problems.
Strong result orientation and analytical thinking (ability to derive insights from market analysis, trends and customer needs, identify and prioritize strategic options).
Ability to develop strong international network within the organization and collaborate with key stakeholders.
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
