SO99+ Application Manager


As SO99+ Application Manager you will be responsible for supporting the SKF Integrated planning and Demand Chain business processes by managing and continuously improve IT business system services, with focus on securing that application and software updates meet new business requirements and are deployed in a controlled manner, while ensuring Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) year-on-year unit cost reductions.


As SO99+ Application Manager you will be IT system owner which also will include being the IT single point of contact for the Integrated planning end-to-end (E-2-E) IT stack. This means being the accountable who interacts with business counterpart and coordinate the various IT deliveries like Business intelligence (BI), integration, interfaced applications, hosting and suppliers in this environment.


Your day-to-day work
• Maintain and develop the Integrated planning service and related applications/modules running on SO99+ application being IP (Integrated Planning), DCH (Demand Collaboration hub), Sales & Operations planning (S&OP) and Vendor Management Integration (VMI).
• Be accountable for the E-2-E Integrated planning IT landscape meaning coordinate the responsible for each involved part like IT BI, IT Integration, IT interfaced applications, IT Cloud hosting and IT Application support and IT supplier.
• Manage supplier providing services in the Application Management area and follow-up service level agreements (SLA's).
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) year-on-year unit cost reductions of the total service stack, and throughout the software life cycle.
• Manage the change process for given systems, by reviewing business requirements from a technology perspective, ensuring compliance with IQSM and SICS processes and make recommendations of new systems and improvements of existing systems.
• Accountable towards the SKF business for, but not directly responsible for, the follow-up of agreed incident and availability SLAs.
• Secure quality of software code and configurations from overseeing the development and testing of new software.
• Participate in medium-to-large projects in Subject Matter Expert (SME) roles, providing application knowledge, and in smaller projects/activities act in Work Package Manager roles, providing leadership competencies and application knowledge.
• Align with IT Service Management to ensure Business Critical process is set up and maintained for Operational stability.


We expect you to have/be
• Bachelors’ degree in IT, Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application management, IT consulting, systems integration or system development role
• Project Management experience
• Proven contractual and negotiation skills to cooperate with suppliers and customers
• Proven capability to translate business needs into IT services and solutions
• Knowledge of the Demand and Supply Chain business processes, and/or the existing IT environment, are competitive advantages
• Good communication skills, being able to interact at different levels and with different stakeholders
• Proven teamwork and management ability and capability of working across organizational and geographical boundaries.
• High level of drive and commitment with leadership skills to arouse action, progress, and change
• Experience with ITIL
• Fluent in English writing and speaking
• Willingness to travel and to work in an international environment
• Good understanding of financial processes related to the application software area

Additional information
Location: preferably in Gothenburg, Sweden. Local contract.


You will report to the Director - Transformation Service, SKF IT Business Process Solution, located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
