Business and Application Services (BAS) is the department within Group IT with the purpose to preserve, maintain and support Volvo Car Group's total application portfolio in the most effective, robust and secure way as part of our application life cycle management responsibility. Manufacturing and Logistics (M&L) is the area within BAS which covers all logistics and production control applications globally. The M&L applications portfolio is part of the factory "heart", i.e. what keeps the factory running. More specifically this position is within the Plant Floor Systems (production control area) in Volvo Cars Torslanda and will be in the center of a major transformation journey the next few years where a large part of the application portfolio will be migrated over into the global application portfolio.

We are now looking for an Application Manager/Analyst with good business understanding and business acumen. You should have experience from managing applications and preferably experience from working as a business analyst on the border between IT and business units, experience from the automotive business is an advantage. You will collaborate with other teams and functions globally to develop and maintain documented business requirements to be implemented throughout Volvo Cars. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the transformation projects, which will contribute to the global application footprint during the most intensive period of Volvo Cars' history.

Main responsibilities

* Responsible for management of IT applications to support the related Business functions. The main objective is to manage the day to day operations of applications
* Responsible for ensuring application delivery in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Operational Level Agreements (OLA). This may also involve providing support through scheduled maintenance and issue resolution including issue resolution of complex problems.
* Accountable for application functionality and service delivery to the related Business functions
* Responsible for securing the technical application lifecycle plan
* Be a key player in the project for migrating over to the global application portfolio
* Be a speaking partner to the Business for maintenance questions as well as both minor and major change initiatives
* Be involved in the managing and prioritising of the application change requests together with the Business and the global IT team
* Follow-up on deliveries, KPIs and application related financials

Required qualifications

* Relevant university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Prior experience in managing IT applications
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Good knowledge in Swedish
* Knowledge about Production Control and Quality processes is meritorious
* Interest in application architectural work is meritorious
* ITIL Foundation certification is an asset
