About this opportunity
Welcome to the Data Systems team. We add value by creating solutions that support our mission of democratizing data access and make it possible for customers and staff to benefit from Nordea's rich and unique data. We are now looking for an Application Owner to strengthen our “Application Ownership” team.
What you will be doing:
* Drive the Data Marts and data driven application portfolio. Data systems owns many data driven applications, where we are on a growth journey to secure that we are providing well designed and high-quality solutions, adhering to Data management highest standards for the bank. To secure this, as an owner, you need to have an overview of owned applications from an aggregated perspective, with focus on Information Security, Risk and Compliance, Operations and application functionality. You will work closely with Group Data Architecture, Agile release trains and IT Operations to determine needed actions.
* Keep our applications safe and trusted. As the Application Owner, you are accountable for owned applications being delivered according to internal and external rules and regulations. This is secured by following internal processes and ways of working.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you must enjoy collaborating with stakeholders internally in Data Systems, but also the internal Nordea business representatives utilizing the services we provide. You continuously gather input from both an operational- and business- perspective to understand risks, challenges and improvement needs, giving input to the application lifecycle roadmap.
* Act as a subject matter expert. Participate in initiatives and projects related to changing owned applications, securing that quality and integrity of the owned applications are preserved.

* Have a background in data science, with a desire to move towards a more strategic role.
* Are interested in data driven IT solutions and how they generate value for our customers in the end. You want to secure that the solutions we have in production continues to provide value both internally and to our customers.
* Consider yourself to be a good communicator. As the Application Owner, you will be the bridge between business and technology for owned applications. We believe you enjoy being the person having detailed discussions about operational IT deliveries, while also being able to communicate and drive needed decisions in a clear and structured way.
* Enjoy the freedom of taking on a large responsibility. A clear target picture is usually all that is needed for you, and you enjoy finding your own ways to reach your targets.
* Work in a structured and result-oriented way, being able to coordinate multiple tasks in parallel.

Your experience and background: 
* Working experience of minimum 5 years.
* Experience as a driver (i.e. project manager, product owner, team lead or equivalent).
* Experience in working closely with IT Operations and IT Development with complex issues/questions.
* Experience in the data management area as a data scientist with desire to move towards strategic roadmap establishment and planning.
* Intercultural communication skills and fluent in English.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree.
