Single Technologies is a start-up company within Bio-technology. They are developing a DNA-scanner that will take DNA sequencing to the text level.
You will take part of the journey of successfully completing the scanner and to be a part of a unique start-up and a journey to create the next generation of imaging and biological diagnostics. ARBETSUPPGIFTER
In this role you will will join the application team and take responsibility for the product design from a molecular biology perspective. You will work in a truly international and multidisciplinary team consisting of biologists, chemists and physicists. You will initiate, execute and analyze experiments to integrate and transfer cutting edge assays and chemistries to Single Technologies’ proprietary DNA sequencing systems. Within this small organization you have the opportunity to work with many aspects of product development.
For example you will:
Design, execute and analyze experiments to integrate sequencing assays into Single Technologies’ DNA sequencing systems
Support the development and optimization of novel molecular biology assay schemes for applications including sample preparation, nucleic acid amplification, molecular barcoding, and library construction strategies for next generation sequencing and in situ genetic assays
Conduct clear and concise communication of experimental design, results, and conclusions at regular data-driven product development meetings
Follow good laboratory practices, including accurate documentation of experiments
Contribute to product development decisions through effectively work within multidisciplinary teams and routinely interact with biologists, chemists, physicists, data scientists, software engineers, mechanical engineers, electronic engineers, optics engineers etc. to solve problems and devise experimental plans

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
We’re looking for a candidate with background in molecular biology that is highly creative, driven with a passion for solving difficult problems and seeks to find efficient ways to reach goals and milestones.
You have:
* MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry or similar field with 3+ years of hands-on experience with molecular biology and next generation sequencing
* Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, nucleic acid amplification, qPCR, enzymatic manipulation of DNA/RNA, DNA sequencing
* Experience in molecular assay development for sequencing technology
* Experience and comfort in working with transferring benchtop assays to prototype systems
* Experience with immunostaining (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH), or histology is highly desirable
* Experience with provisioning or processing animal models and human clinical samples (tissue, blood, biopsies, fresh frozen, FFPE) and tissue sectioning is highly desirable
* Industrial experience is highly desirable
* Analytical, organized, and adaptable self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication
* Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving multi-disciplinary organization, which requires real-time communication, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new techniques and methods
* Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changes (e.g. project direction, priorities, timelines)
