For Sandvik Coromant and our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team we’re now looking for an Application Security Engineer to join our development team and work with global production systems. Within the MES team, we offer you the variation of working with different systems with a focus on security and there are plenty of possibilities to grow – both on a professional and personal level. About the job
In this role, you’re a part of our development team where you lead collaborations across various teams to develop, design and execute security priorities within the stack of applications that support our manufacturing processes. Acting as the Application Team Security Champion you are the connecting link when it comes to security. You inspire and raise awareness within the development team and participate in the virtual community of Sandvik Coromant security champions - in the end protecting the trust of the Coromant Brand. This position will challenge your skills and knowledge within object-oriented programming, relational databases, and modern fronted technologies.
Some of your responsibilities include:
· Leading the implementation of Software Development Life Cycle which includes code reviews, static and dynamic code analysis, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments.
· Engaging with product owners and developers to conduct security reviews, identify risks, and define security requirements.
The location for this position is in Gimo or Sandviken, and we offer you the opportunity to work part time remotely.
About you
We believe that you have a relevant education for the job, backed by work experience as a system developer. Or perhaps you’re well equipped for the job just based on your previous work experience. Additionally, you have an interest in application security and you’re eager to learn and develop within your field. Working in a truly global organization naturally calls for fluency in English, while knowledge of other languages is a plus.
