Role Summary/Purpose:
In this role you will provide pre-sales support for Biacore, working with Biacore sales specialist to drive sales across the Nordic region, drive lead generation and work with the Biacore installed base to ensure that our customers get the best possible value from their investment.
Additionally, this position includes Team Leader responsibility for the Research Science (RS) Hardware team in Benelux and Nordic region, that is expected to take up approx. 30% of the working week.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership ? provide additional leadership to the RS Hardware sales team by taking accountability for key business activities including funnel management, forecasting, management of team training requirements and coordination of technical-related issues.
Sales Revenues/Budgets ? meet/exceed sales targets by driving sales within the defined territory.
Sales Strategy ? demonstrate best practice within the team by developing a strategic business plan aligned to account management activities, to drive sales and differentiate our business from competition.
Product Support ? coordinate successful product demonstrations, internal and external events, seminars, workshops and promotional activities. Coordinate and facilitate Nordic/Benelux team activities.
One Life Science Teamwork ? work in a matrix environment, position GE Life Sciences within the customer base as the provider of a complete workflow solution and drive lead generation across the business.
Forecasting ? accurately forecast sales and growth opportunities within the designated territory. Take a leading role in the roll-up of the Nordic & Benelux forecast for RS Hardware and participate in forecast and business reviews.
Team Development ? provide coaching and support to development team members and contribute to reviews and appraisals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: University level degree in a Life Sciences related discipline plus a PhD or equivalent qualification gained working in the Life Sciences Industry.
Previous commercial experience.
Strong background in protein interaction analysis.
A proven track-record of achieving and exceeding targets/goals.
Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
Self-starter able to manage time and organize and prioritize workload, especially as an Application Specialist is expected to be working in the field most of the week (3+ days).
Excellent interpersonal skills including team working skills and good communication skills.
Strong written communication skills and high attention to details.
Persistence and tenacity.
Fluent in English and local language.
Valid driving license.
EU work permit.
Desired Characteristics:
Extensive hands-on experience with Biacore T200 and/or Biacore 4000 platforms is highly desirable.
