Application Specialist - Liquid Handling

In this role, you work together with our customers on method development, improvement of customer processes, testing, implementation and training.  You also assist TECANs sales-team and provide application support during pre-sales activities. In this process you gather information about customer requirements and provide customized solutions to each clients’ specific needs. The role also includes installations, hardware repairs and preventive maintenance.

Arbetstider
TECANs customer are found in academic research and hospital laboratories. Our Nordic headquarters are located on Sveavägen, Stockholm, but in this role you will mainly be working from home or at customer sites. The territory of this role is Stockholm and a minimum of overnight traveling is required.  

Kvalifikationer
For this role, we are looking for candidates with a scientific background, preferably with hands on experience from laboratory techniques. Knowledge of automated workflows is advantageous, as well as in-depth understanding of diagnostics and/or genomics.


You have a BSc, MSc or PhD in a life science related discipline.
Experience of laboratory work (f ex  DNA/RNA purification, NGS sequencing, protein purification/analysis).
Laboratory automation experience is strongly meritorious, as well as understanding of sample workflows in biomedical / research /diagnostic laboratories.
Understanding of laboratory workflows and optimization of sample handling.
Experience, or a genuine interest in programming languages such as VBScript, VB .NET or similar.
You are an exceptionally good listener with ability to quickly understand and prioritize customer requirements.
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
You have project management skills and plan your work efficiently. 
You have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and are customer focused. 
You have a driving license and the ability to travel.
