Arbetsbeskrivning

Are you up for exciting collaborations with internal and external partners, supporting machine builders and agents? We currently need a driven, enthusiastic and resourceful Application Specialist for investments to join our Strategic Relations team in Sales Area North Europe – someone who’s ready to take on a broad role with a 360 scope.
At Sandvik Coromant, we pride ourselves on pushing boundaries and testing limits by rethinking, redefining and redesigning to figure out what’s possible to achieve. We offer you a global, innovative and inclusive setting, with passionate minds and industry leading solutions in metal cutting.

Your mission
In this position, you help us identify customer investments and support them in their selection and implementation – ensuring a great return for their spending and representing Sandvik Coromant as a true partner for doing business. You work closely with our Frontline Sales teams to identify new investment leads, and you prioritize, negotiate, manage and close on machine investment opportunities. By constantly communicating and coordinating with your stakeholders in the wider organization, you drive success in our projects, and you ensure smooth, cost-efficient and timely conclusions. Yes, networking and collaboration are truly your most important keys in this role!
Other central responsibilities included are preparing and presenting complex solution offers by means of story board, tooling sheets and quotations, as well as supporting implementation of provided solutions at our end user sites. You also participate in trade events – for example at machine manufacturers, agents and distributors – and use your people skills to build strong relations with key contacts in this area. By keeping a broad business mindset, you explore new opportunities for our supporting products and services, and you find areas where we can advance.
To be in a perfect spot for customer interactions and building strong networks in Sales Area North Europe, you’re based at home, which ideally is in Finland. But travel within the Nordics is included in your job, meaning you need a valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel.

Your profile
We’re looking for someone with experience from the cutting tool industry and its applications, as well as machine interface solutions. You hold a background in customer-centric roles within sales or services and understand the machine market in the Nordic countries. You’re also comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with lots of tech talk and people interactions. Your knowledge is grounded by a relevant university degree in a technical field, and you bring a great understanding of business and performance drivers. CAD/CAM experience is a must, and you’re skilled in the Office 365 applications including Teams, Dynamics and Power BI. Since we’re a truly global organization, you need to be fluent in English but for this role Finnish and Swedish is a key expectation.
You’re committed, forward-thinking and outgoing. A person who takes ownership of your tasks, with the skills to prioritize and multitask to deliver results on time. With a modern business mindset and a digital approach, you challenge us to look at new perspectives – aiming to bring our business towards the future. You encourage people around you to always share their views and ideas, as you believe that no subject is too big or small to discuss. Interacting with many various stakeholders, you also understand that success comes from great teamwork and transparent, straightforward communication.

Our culture
Innovation is in our DNA and we are proud to shape the future of manufacturing in close collaboration with our customers and partners. We believe in an inclusive, equal and open-minded culture, and we nurture our diversities to form a solid foundation for achieving great results.
