Job description
Do you have a life science degree and extensive practical experience of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions? Do you want to grow in a dynamic role as a clinical application specialist where your key responsibilities include sharing your expertise with customers and colleagues? We are currently, on behalf of our client Devyser AB, seeking an enthusiastic, people-oriented clinical application specialist to strengthen Devyser´s team in supporting their NGS product line. The role will be placed in Stockholm with a starting date that will be determined with the right candidate, but preferably as soon as possible.

Devyser AB specializes in diagnostic kits for complex DNA testing within hereditary diseases, oncology and transplantation. The company is growing and in order to support their expanding customer base they are looking to recruit an application specialist to provide support to their NGS product line. 

Responsibilities
As an Application Specialist, you will be an important part of the customer support team and support Devyser´s customers worldwide. You will work alongside the sales-team and provide application support during pre-sales activities. In this process, you will demonstrate and provide customized solutions to each clients’ specific needs. In the after-sales process you will be responsible for implementation of the solution and training of customers. You will also be responsible for continuous training, in regards to the NGS product line, of Devyser´s customers and distributors. 

Key Responsibilities
• Setting up and performing on-site demos of NGS products at the customer facilities.
• Supporting new customers by providing product training, remote or on-site, on the products according to the product instructions. Monitor progress and report to the sales manager.
• Technical support to end-users; assess customer needs, act as technical expert and consult in product applications in the customers’ environment. Perform troubleshooting towards problem solving in close collaboration with the customer service team. 
• Technical support to the sales team and to international distributors. Assist the sales team with local customer visits and provide the NGS technical expertise. 
• Provide training to the sales team and to distributors. Perform end-user and local support team training programs. 
• Execute product presentations to customer group. This could be in forms of seminars or product workshops. 
• Collect customer feedback. Recommend new developments and improvements on current products. 
• Maintain records of customer communications and technical support.

Qualifications
• At least Bachelor´s degree, or equivalent, in life sciences, preferably Molecular Biology or Human Genetics. 
• Extensive hands-on laboratory experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and/or Sanger sequencing technologies.
• Knowledge on different NGS related software. 
• Fluent both orally and written in English and preferably at least one of the following languages: Swedish, French, German, Spanish.
• You have the availability to travel on a regular basis to customers world-wide (in accordance with regulations regarding covid-19). 
• A driving license is preferred. 
• Clinical lab experience is highly meritorious.
