Application Support Engineer

Job Description:
As an Application Support Engineer you will be responsible to perform basic operations (monitor, restarts) and maintenance (e.g., patching, config changes, minor releases) on applications.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Providing application support to customers
Monitoring applications, identifying issues, diagnosing root causes, and resolving application issues
Tracking applications in production and identifying patching, upgrade, and maintenance needs
Scheduling, managing and documenting application installations, updates, patches and minor maintenance
Assuring quality by managing, reviewing, pressure-testing and greenlighting releases



Qualifications:
Substantial experience of working with ITIL principles in mission-critical large-scale applications
ITIL certification
Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, OOPS, and data structure
Hands-on experience in documenting test plans, test cases and test execution
Hands-on experience of testing online/web applications with knowledge of QA best practices
Experience of working Test management / Defect Management testing tools
In-depth knowledge of escalation procedures, incident management, and other disciplines related to service delivery
