BorgWarner in Landskrona is looking for an Application/Product Engineer to our production line for Hybrid Solutions, Commercial Heavy Vehicles, within Rotating Electric. Your main responsibility will be to provide technical support for electric machine products in hybrid and electric vehicle applications and act as technical interface between customers, development centers, production plants and suppliers during the complete development phase. In this role you will report to the Manager Manufacturing Engineering.

Principal Accountabilities:

As Application/Product Engineer for multiple applications you communicate with customers and align internal with global technical centers and manufacturing plants. In collaboration with BorgWarner ETC you develop and maintain product specifications. You will also prepare presentations of design related items, issue technical reports, make product change requests and part approval requests.

You support the production in Landskrona and ensure that the product meets production requirements and drive the change process from the customer within the organization. You are also an important team player who support validation of product and process, failure investigations together with the quality team and support P-FMEA, D-FMEA and control plan, product improvement initiatives and cost reduction activities.

Competence and Experience:

We believe that you hold a Bachelor’ degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, a Master’ degree would be an advantage. You are experienced in development and manufacturing of products, preferable within automotive industry, and have minimum two years of experience in development and application of electric machines.

You are experienced with project management and work well in international teams, have self-assurance, good leadership and communications skills. You have knowledge in CAD, Lean Production and are experienced in quality tools like 5S, 8D and FMEA, in particular P-FMEA and are fluent in English and Swedish, both verbal and written.
