We are looking for an Approvals/Certification Engineer to join our Product Approvals team at Rosemount Tank Radar in Gothenburg.
RTR develop sensors and complete systems based on the latest radar technologies. Our products are used in demanding environments; explosive atmospheres, safety-critical systems, applications with dangerous and aggressive chemical substances, high-pressure and high temperature applications, etc. Products must be developed, constructed, manufactured, and delivered in accordance with variety of applicable regulations and legislations worldwide.
You don’t have to know everything about our products from the start but your enthusiasm to learn will compensate that.
Responsibilities
As an Approvals Engineer, you are part of Approval's team within our product development department. The Approvals team is responsible for obtaining and maintaining relevant product certificates. In this work we are active in all stages in the product lifecycle: supporting and guiding product management team and marketing both in operational activities and more long-term strategic plans. Tracking, understanding and influencing existing and coming standards and regulatory demands are also part of Approval's team responsibilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the product approval process and ensure the liaison between RTR and other stakeholders
Lead and coordinate certification assignments
Ensure adequate agency management (ordering jobs, submittal of project applications, planning, testing, review, communication)
Interpret design documentation and applicable standards, directives and other relevant legal requirements. Apply those requirements to RTR product
Lead and coordinate periodic audits from approvals agencies
Develop and maintain approvals specific processes, routines, tools and databases
Provide expertise in approvals related questions to Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing
Participate and influence technical committees in the process of developing new or revised standards 

Requirements
To be successful in this role you need to have a broad technical knowledge, an intrinsic passion for and interest in not only product safety and quality but as important is a passion for people since this job often involves and requires excellent communication skills and ability to create good relationships with many stakeholders.
We are looking for you who holds a MSc degree in Engineering (Electrical, Physic, Mechanical) with a couple of years work experience. Qualified candidates must possess a high level of self-discipline, ability to multitask and understand organizational risk. As a person you are driven, systematic and structured. In addition, you must possess good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish, being able to interact well with agency certification engineers, design engineers and other stakeholders.
Hands on experience with product approvals within e.g. explosion protection, functional safety, radio and EMC areas are desirable but not mandatory.
