Main responsibilities
In this role, you will have an overarching command of all safety and work-environment topics in Avesta. You will work closely to maintain and develop our standards in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This is a broad role that requires some knowledge in all relevant fields within the area of work-environment and safety. You will lead accident investigations, risk analysis, trainings of colleagues and contribute to a central part of Outokumpu’s culture and continuous improvement. You will also be the contact person for external and internal stakeholders in the work-environment area and participate in various industry and group collaborations.
Lead, plan, implement, and follow up on work-environment initiatives
Establish, manage and develop reporting and archiving systems for work environment/safety data
Strategize for short- and long-term goals on work environment and safety topics
Lead & participate in investigations of significant breaches of work environment & safety regulations
Lead our work-environment and safety groups
Conduct trainings for Outokumpu employees on relevant topics
Stay up to date on global development in relevant fields and implement changes in organization

About you
You have a propensity for structure, improvement, and collaboration. Communication is one of your greatest skills, as you can simplify complex information for others to understand. You are interested in how people, technology, and organization can be brought together in a safe and efficient way.
Bachelor or master’s degree in relevant field such as work-environment, technique, health pedagogics or equivalent
Multiple years’ experience with work-environment & safety topics, preferably in an industry setting
Broad knowledge of Swedish work-environment and safety regulations – from understanding to implementation
Strong ability to lead and coach others
Supportive of continuous improvement and readiness to lead change projects
Fluency in Swedish and English (written and verbal)
