Saab Systems, a business unit within the Saab group, is a leading supplier of customized decision support systems for defence and security solutions. A core component of such systems is communications, a field that is currently undergoing fundamental changes in a desire to deliver information to users in a more flexible manner. Software Defined Radio (SDR), where general signal processing and generation hardware is controlled by software, is a key technology to reach this goal. Since a large portion of the radio functionality is implemented as software, the resulting flexibility facilitates change of radio features simply by reconfiguring or uploading new software. Advanced applications of the radio may include adaptive behaviour such as automatic selection of suitable frequency, data rate and output power etc. Such an adaptive radio could for any environment offer optimal bandwidth, robustness and quality of service. Saab Systems is currently developing advanced radio technology for the future in national and international projects with an emphasis on SDR technology. As these activities are growing we are looking for experienced people that will work on defining and developing SDR products. Join us and get the opportunity to work in a team of professionals in an international environment.
