Job Description
As an Architecture Leader for IT & Application architecture you will lead the network of IT Architects across IKEA value chain. Together you will set the strategic direction for our application landscape, stressing a decoupled and componentized application architecture that embraces the old and the new.
This robust application architecture is the key element of our target technology landscape, enabling our business movements at speed and scale. As a leader of the network, you will call the Enterprise Architects together, forming strategic scrums that tackle dilemmas, define the future roadmaps, and shape our ways of working. You will also support the process of identifying new technologies that will allow and enable us to meet more of the many people. We believe digital technology is core to develop and future-proof IKEA.
More specifically, in this role you will be accountable for:
Lead the Network of IT & Application Architects, bringing them together in a strong community, that is the backbone of a consistent and robust application landscape across all core businesses.
Lead the work to anchor our direction and principles, resolving dilemmas by forming cross functional work groups that guide the way forward.
Support the Enterprise Architects in their work to frame all initiatives with a robust application architecture direction and fit.
Responsible, as a member of the Architecture leadership, to guide bigger, cross functional, cross technology movements (e.g. through EA Assessments)
Responsible for up-to-date architecture artefacts and data architecture patterns. Partnering with project teams to design, create and re-use of the same.
Evolve the Enterprise Architecture discipline and competences, especially value adding services like conceptual solution design, embedding architecture into the development teams (Classic or Agile), and creative ways of supporting the digital transformation.
Shared Responsibility for the Inter IKEA Architecture Roadmap.
Shared Responsibility for cross-domain architecture scrums / working groups to resolve strategic questions, continuously improve a consistent business and technology blueprint.

In this role you will report to our Architecture Manager for IKEA Supply and work closely with the Architecture Manager at Inter IKEA Group to lead towards uniformity and commonality, contributing to the Inter IKEA architecture framework and delivering on the needs of IKEA.
