Connected Intelligence is a group within Connected Systems at Scania R&D. In the context of connectivity, we innovate and deliver scalable analytics that enable informed decision making for product, service and business developers.
Assignment
We are now hiring a developer that want to be a part of enabling end-to-end analytics solutions in the context of 400 000+ connected Scania vehicles. We build visualisations and infrastructure for self-service solutions that democratize geospatial data and associated information. The data is derived from massive amounts of GPS-positions describing the global transport network.
Our aim is to work in cross functional teams that deliver repeatable and quality assured results through self-sustained analytics services. We are striving for value by democratizing insights from data, to achieve this goal we have to work modular and agile. Our motivation comes from working for a bigger picture and collaboration, innovation and exploration are common drivers among your colleagues.
We are looking for the person that will strengthen the development skills of the team, main responsibilities is to ensure scalable and modular back-end and front-end components developed in cloud using modern CI/CD patterns.
Your profile
You have an academic degree in a computer science related field, or the equivalent work experience. In addition:
• You have experience in implementing and deploying cloud based stacks where the front end delivers data driven content and styling.
• You have understood that software development on some levels resembles a factory process where repetitive moments can be automated and that the degree of automation is a good (often the best) measure of the delivery. Continuous improvement of the development process is therefore a natural priority.
• You have experience of large scale front end application development in some JavaScript framework.
Experience of data streaming or geospatial visualisations is meritorious.
