Arbetsbeskrivning
The Disgusting Food Museum is an experience museum oriented around different food that is completely normal for someone somewhere, but for most other people it might be considered strange or even disgusting. We have collected and put on display numerous dishes and edible foods from all over the world, most of them thought-provoking, eye-opening or just plain odd.
Visitors to the museum get to go on an exciting expedition through many different cultures while getting a glimpse of some of the traditions, both historical and modern, around some of their food. The visitor will get a chance to look at, read about, smell and eventually taste some of the food.
The next step on our journey is to expand our concept into more countries around Europe. Phase one of that is a Customer Discovery process where we ask key stakeholders to share insights about what goes into the decision making around taking on external temporary exhibitions, like ours. To make sure we are getting a hold of the right type of organizations we need to collect leads - that is where YOU come in!
Who are you?
You love to do research and are able to distinguish between a good and a bad lead. Your ability to find your way to the most relevant detail in the great noise of the internet is one of your greatest skills. You are able to take directions, while still working independently. When problems arise you are not afraid to attack them head on, on your own, but equally not afraid to ask for guidance when needed.
You are not against picking up the phone when the internet alone does not yield enough data. Curiosity is a natural part of who you are and as a general rule you tend to work towards understanding every layer of the task at hand. As we are working with a unique concept that does not easily fit into any known categories it is vitally important to grasp who we are and what we are looking for in order to complete the project.
What we offer
You will be a valued part of a multicultural, warm-hearted, if sometimes a bit strange, workforce all doing our best to spread joy to people around us. We pride ourselves in not doing things like “everybody else”.
This is a project based employment with a set amount of hours allocated to it. The amount of hours can be flexible if there is a valid need for it. After successful completion there is a high chance of continuation as a sales lead generator, with plenty more allocated hours.
Work from home is possible, but you have to be able to be onsite in Malmö minimum 1 day per week.
How to apply
We require the following 3 things from you in order to consider your application:
A short cover letter explaining who you are and why you believe you would fit for this role.
Find the contact details of the following: Head of Exhibitions at the Dortmund Science Museum (DASA).
Find another 5 quality contacts to senior staff of institutions (within Europe) that have done temporary exhibitions before. No ‘info@xx.x’.
Good luck and I can’t wait to meet you and see if we can offer each other something!
