We’re now looking for a Product Development Engineer to strengthen our Down the Hole team in Sandviken – part of the R&D unit of division Rock Tools at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. We enhance the business by providing product development, research, and technical support to our DTH product line. As the demands on our products become more and more challenging, this position plays a key role in ensuring increased performance and keeping our market in a leading position – we offer you an exciting opportunity to let your creativity flow and to take part in breaking new ground!


Your mission – contribute to a successful and innovative product portfolio
In this position, you engage in development projects in close collaboration with stakeholders at our product units, to find solutions fulfilling our customers’ needs and to increase our market leading position. You’re responsible for developing and creating new products, caring of existing products within our Down the Hole line, and you bring your valuable knowledge and expertise into our different projects and activities. Another part of your assignment is initiating and following method development projects with laboratory tests and simulations. By getting to know our customers and scanning the market, you follow trends and development in this field, and you support production and marketing departments, as well as subsidiary and sales companies, in technical matters.


Your character – a technically strong developer with a creative mind
We’re looking for someone with a strong background within product development and solid skills in using CAD, PDM and FEM as tools in your daily work. Your knowledge is grounded by a master’s in Engineering, preferably within Mechanical Engineering. As we are a global business, you need excellent skills in English, and we consider knowledge in Swedish as an advantage.
Your personality matter to us - you’re a strong driving force and with your skills in prioritizing your tasks to achieve goals and results - you make things happen! As you collaborate with many different people in our organization, you have great communication skills. You’re a true team player and you have the will to share your knowledge as well as your creative way of thinking.
