We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager with the title Financial Operations Leader for our next financial assignment starting in March 2021. This is a long-term full-time assignment with flexibility regarding working hours during quarter and year end. Our clients headquarters are based in Sweden, but you will be working from home with a young and energetic global team in a very nice and cooperative atmosphere with colleagues based in UK, Sweden and in Spain. Direct manager will be a new person in the team, starting in March but in general your new team is very open, flexible, and friendly. The Team delivers financial forecasts of quarter end results for the whole Europe. This position is responsible for that information for Services Contracts in Sweden.


Role summary
Ensure Europe FOL Team delivers on time and accurate consolidated financial and operational reports, performance overviews (not limited to responsibilities’ list), with strong focus on excellent forecasting and pacing. Make sure operational plan for wind contracts and projects in the organization’s installed base meets the financial goals of Renewables Digital Services by acting as the primary interface between Finance, Commercial and Services Operations teams. Manage successful and highly effective FOL team for Europe.


Challenges in your new role
The role and its success depend on information captured from Service managers and Customer service leaders. It requires a lot of data analysis and review of incoming invoices and issued purchase orders as well as reported hours and materials used.
The goal is to deliver the most reliable and realistic estimate of the results for Sweden, make sure Service Director knows the details of financials and the team is well informed.


Your responsibilities
As the Financial Operations Leader, you will:
• Develop & manage the financial plan for each contract or project in your service area or stream, for the entire commercial lifecycle, that complies with our clients controllership policy.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities to manage operational uncertainty that achieves the financial plan.
• Own CMR analysis - Track portfolio performance against the Operations and as sold contracts.
• Train and coordinate with the Site Leaders to drive common processes and practices globally.
• Understand and translate contract or project terms & conditions related to variable revenue (liquidated damages and bonuses) into financial parameters that impact the financial plan. Develop action plans to optimize variable revenue performance.
• Build and execute cost plans that maximize margin generation for Digital Services. Deploy the financial elements of productivity programs as they are released by the Productivity Team, and ensure the financial benefit is measurable in the financial plan.
• Establish an operating rhythm with your service area or stream that aligns to the regional operating rhythm and financial reporting schedule. Ensure regional KPIs flow down consistently to the contract or project level.
• Estimate contract or project financial performance with a high level of accuracy.
• Manage and control the contract or project financial template to ensure best practices and continuous improvements are deployed consistently across the region.
• Drive compliance and accountability for the execution of all financial transactions, including the ERP lifecycle, to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
• Act as the financial partner and subject matter expert to your Services and Commercial counterparts to deliver on business goals and collect bottoms-up feedback for continuous improvement.


Requirements
You have a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent with proven experience in finance management, people management and sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and auditing experience. You have excellent language skills in English both spoken and written, and it is a plus if you know Swedish. You have proficiency in finance data presentation, and you are compliance oriented


Personal skills
To succeed in your role, you must be an open, energetic person with Financial/Accounting background, strong analytical and interpersonal skills and have strong communication skills. Furthermore, you are confident in your role as a leader and have strong leadership skills.
