We develop our products in our two R&D centres in Sweden and India, respectively, and offer complete drive systems based on our standard products, including AC drives, softstarters, motors and transformers, for the control and monitoring of electric motor drive and applications. We add value via energy savings, reduced maintenance and improved productivity for the water/wastewater, power generation, marine, Oil & Gas and Material Handling markets and for many other industrial customers.
About the role
Products in running production constantly, need to be maintained in order to be cost efficiently produced. Quality issues with material or sub supplier process, obsolete components, material shortages or cost increases are common causes for making updates to a product. The process for making such product updates is called Product Maintenance and means of implementing them are called Engineering Changes.
We are now recruiting a junior project manager with manufacturing or engineering background to lead and coordinate all Engineering Changes in CG D&A AB. Each Engineering Change is a small development project, involving all steps from specification, design, prototyping, verification and validation to implementation with sub suppliers and/or our own factory. There are many engineering disciplines and many stakeholders involved, both internally and externally. We use SAP to maintain our master data for all products and SAP provide functionality for introduction of engineering changes into manufacturing and supply chain.
About you
We believe you have a BSc In Electrical, Mechanical or Production engineering with 3-5 years’ work experience.
The position is ideal for a person who would like to get a very deep understanding of the complete process for manufacturing electronic products with great opportunities to develop project management skills. Some experience from manufacturing industry and PDM systems is required. An ability to keep multiple projects going in parallel is needed, together with a strong drive to get things done. On a personal level, it is an advantage be able to create an environment of involvement and commitment with the team and stake holders without having any direct reporting to you. This requires both organizational and communicational skills together with clarity, decisive power and sometimes a good portion of creativity and a sense humor.
