We seek a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the exciting challenge of leading and developing IES Falun in an international environment with a focus on students' best interests!

About the position
IES Falun opened in 2014 and offers outstanding bilingual education to around 500 students between grades 4-9, and a fulfilling career opportunity for around 50 employees.

The work as principal is an exciting and varied job where the principal leads and distributes the work in collaboration with two assistant principals. The principal has overall responsibility and a full mandate in the role of manager for the school. Furthermore, the principal leads the school's development and organization based on the school's governing documents with a clear focus on students' learning process based on their different conditions. The work will lead towards the fulfillment of the school’s overall goals, attractiveness and brand being strengthened.

There will be high expectations on the principal to continue to develop an excellent school in line with our ethos. The principal will create the organisation required for this change and is a fantastic opportunity to have a real impact. IES takes pride in leadership excellence in a diverse environment.

The principal reports to the Regional Director North.

Your profile
You have a proven track-record in a leadership position in the Swedish education sector with solid people management experience. You are a visible, forward-thinking leader and positive role model for the IES culture and value proposition, inspiring both students and staff and creating a work environment for professional growth. You are passionate about education and create a climate for learning.

As a person, you are communicative, enjoy communicating with parents as well as teachers and students. You are a strong person who can push and make things happen. Furthermore, you are listening and can create trust among the staff. You have a holistic perspective, think long-term and are confident of leading change, you stand up and take responsibility for decisions made.
