TI Fluid Systems operates with two divisions:
• Fluid Carrying Systems (“FCS”):
The FCS division designs and manufactures fluid carrying systems that meet the complex assembly, design and performance challenges of today’s vehicles. TI Fluid Systems utilizes a wide range of materials and manufacturing processes in order to improve performance, maximize durability and optimize packaging and installation.
• Fuel Tank and Delivery Systems (“FTDS”):
The FTDS division features award-winning fuel tank products and fuel pump & module technology for gasoline, diesel, flex-fuel and hybrid vehicle applications. Combining fuel storage and delivery as a business enables TI Fluid Systems to develop and produce fully-integrated fuel systems.

Job description
The Lidköping plant is included in the FCS Division and manufactures a wide-range of products designed to move fluid throughout the vehicle. We focus on producing brake- and fuel lines and powertrain products for both national and international automotive customers. Our systems are designed and manufactured, to meet the complex assembly, design and performance challenges of today’s vehicles as described above.

At this stage, we are hiring an Application Engineer level II to be able to continue our growth and develop our business! We hope you take this opportunity to contribute with your technical, engineering skills to develop and follow up our projects to meet the customer expectations. You will work together with a collaborative team mostly within the global department but also locally together with the Lidköping plant team. A team combined with a good mix of employees due to experiences/competences from this industry or related fields, age, employment time and ethnical background. You will be able to work flexible from home or on site.

In this role, you will manage engineering programs from quote through launch for the design and detail of fluid carrying assemblies and components.
• Adapt TI standard products to specific customer applications. Design, develop and validate customer-specific assemblies from quote to production
• Conduct AQP meetings with suppliers, customers and various internal departments to obtain input on, agreement with, and understanding of all aspects of the design.
• Primary technical contact with customer for assigned programs.
• Review design parameters to ensure that product design complies with TI design guidelines and is feasible for manufacturing.
• Provide direction to designers with consideration for fabrication, processing and assembly of the product.
• Responsible for content of engineering drawings: identify or establish performance and material specifications. Apply GD&T to all designs; ensure consistency with gauging strategy. Identify relevant failure modes and corresponding design controls. Record via formal documentation (DFMEA). Coordinate prototype part orders for test samples and customer builds. Lead DV/PV test plans; verify compliance and track through DVP&


Your profile
You should have a Bachelor of BSME or related engineering degree. It’s good if you have experience in a related field but more essential for us is to have a technical person with base knowledge in our standards on DV and DFMEA. An engineer who is hungry, motivated and willing to learn in this role and who have knowledge to read and understand technical specifications and drawings.

You must have the ability to work independently to gather data and input on the development of new applications or adaptations of existing designs, after having being given general instructions regarding purpose and parameters. Prepare and present preliminary drawings, sketches or diagrams reflecting basic concept in order to obtain confirmation of approach and technique are required skills as well.

Other Skill Requirements:
• It’s good if you have knowledge of Teamcenter and Catia V5
• Ability to manage program events such that engineering objectives are met.
• Ability to formulate and implement solutions to design problems
• Perform individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
• Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both Swedish and English.
• Valid drivers’ license and able to travel from work site to customer locations and other TI Automotive facilities.
• Local customer knowledge within the industry
