Job Description
We are now looking for Area Lead Engineer Core Maintenance – OneECC (SAP ERP Central Component) that will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and development of software applications which are primarily in transition, targeted for decommission or are strategic in nature to H&M and require ongoing maintenance and support. This role is specific to the architecture and engineering of the H&M SAP ECC platform. You will direct the work of engineers to ensure the best practices around software development and manage subordinate software and technical engineers in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. You will also ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets, as well as have full authority for personnel actions. As Area Lead Engineer Core Maintenance - OneECC, you will lead the delivery effort for a team of engineers providing related products and services that allow all H&M engineering teams who are your customers to use and encapsulate the diverse complexity of our on-prem and cloud-hosted platforms, increasing their ability to better serve H&M and our customers. Some of your responsibilities will include:
· Lead a large collection of several applications leveraging our ECC platform from the value streams to ensure constant maintenance & seamless perform. (incl. cloud, H&M applications & data)
· Create and manage execution plans and risk plans at scrum and portfolio level
· Lead, develop and support a team of software engineers, managing the hiring, staffing and maintenance of a diverse and effective workforce and the career development and performance management of the team
· Communicate technical expertise, stay current and communicate best practices within their technical discipline
· Encourages and supports others to take on responsibility, authority, and accountability
· Influence enterprise architecture from a software and data standpoint
· Can represent applications for software maintenance and security in various steering committees
· Identify and report on key KPIs for software development and maintenance Identifying, engaging, and managing relationships between our client and 3rd party software design, development, testing, QA and related partners
· Software architecture definition for ongoing optimization of core maintenance applications
Qualifications
We believe you have 10 + years' experience as a leading engineering manager, preferably within retail or e-commerce, using and implementing modern technologies in complex organisations at scale. You have strong leadership skills with experience as staff responsible and you excel at stakeholder management collaboration across business units. We also believe you have the ability to practice creative and critical thinking by adding ideas and solutions to ongoing challenges with outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving thinking. In addition to this you have deep understanding and knowledge within:
· 7+ years of experience with SAP ECC
· Experience with various development environments, versioning tools, and testing automation
· Transformation management
· DevOps and agile methodology
· Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture and storage concepts
· Cloud knowledge and H&M applications and Data
· Tech service management & delivery/Technology Platform Management
· Understanding of and experience with large, multi-faceted and complex systems and platforms
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills (English spoken and written required)
