BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries. We manage the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy.

Do you want to shape the future?
We are looking for an Area Lead Environment & Sustainability (EnSu) – Projects & O&M - BU Onshore/Solar & Batteries (SoBa) to coordinate all operational EnSu related matters within this area and to be one of the key Points of Contact for the BU Onshore/SoBa main stakeholders. The Area Lead acts as the connection between the assigned BU and the Manager EnSu - Projects & O&M.
Your main tasks and responsibilities as Area Lead Environment & Sustainability – Projects & O&M - BU Onshore/Solar & Batteries:
Coordinate the allocated EnSu resources to drive and achieve the goals, targets and expectations set by EnSu and the management team of the allocated BU;
Manage the EnSu risk and opportunities identified within the allocated BU;
Ensure the BU meets its statutory obligations and achieves operational excellence, by implementing good practices and standards to achieve high levels of environment and sustainability management, and the strategic priorities set by the CEO of Vattenfall as well as by the Head of BA Wind;
Coordinate with the Manager EnSu - Projects & O&M and Offshore Area Lead counterpart to ensure effective alignment on EnSu matters for BU Onshore/SoBa;
Coordinate BU EnSu input for BU Management Teams (MT) and provide information received from the MTs to relevant EnSu members.
Qualifications
Your qualifications and personal skills as Area Lead Environment & Sustainability – Projects & O&M - BU Onshore/Solar & Batteries:
Minimum 6 years of experience within the field of Environment and Sustainability, with experience in renewable energy or similar industries;
Academic degree in a relevant field (additional Masters degree viewed favorably);
Extensive experience in similar organizations;
Experience in coordinating internal resources and/or contractors/consultants;
Excellent Business English language skills;
Knowledge regarding ISO standards (e.g. 14001) and their implementation;
Knowledge of Environmental legal compliance frameworks within Europe and UK;
Experience in Policy, goals and targets setting;
Experience in Stakeholder management, Risk and opportunity management, Emergency strategical management as well as with Audits and inspections and Change management and implementation of organizational changes.
