Arbetsbeskrivning
Responsible for managing, coordinating and administering an assigned area of the overall project. Overall responsible to deliver their area of the project within the scope, cost and schedule baseline and ensuring the area of the project is delivered within the safety, quality and environmental objectives agreed for the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Agrees, as part of the project leadership team, the overall execution strategy as set out in the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Carries clear responsibility and accountability for delivery of the objectives for a project area as agreed by the Project Manager and taking into consideration the full project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project controls.
• Coordinates, monitors and controls their area of the project in line with the detailed scope, cost and schedule control baselines and manages any project changes in terms of this agreed baseline.
• Coordinates, in conjunction with other area managers, between interfacing areas to ensure no aspects of the project is overlooked or lags in progress.
• Exercises budgetary control to ensure costs are not exceeded without proper authority. Provide such information as is required by the Project Manager to obtain additional authorization where necessary.
• Ensures governance on their project area, specifically compliance to project delegations of authority, procedures and policies.
• Ensures kick off meetings and weekly/bi-weekly progress meetings are held with each contractor to monitor progress and manage change.
• Coordinates and monitors area team members in their performance and influences their activities as necessary to ensure project requirements are achieved.
• Minimizes interface problems and project delays by coordinating the different functions and recommending the order of work.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
• University degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline
• Five to ten years of experience in engineering, package coordination, project controls and construction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good safety awareness
• Planning and organizational skills
• Self-starters who can undertake their responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Ability to function well in a team environment
• Coordination, organization and planning of community IR awareness
• Commercially astute (financial and legal)
• Experience in engineering, procurement and construction and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies. Knowledge of industry standards.

• Well developed written and oral communication/negotiation skills.
Preferred
• Three years relevant experience including involvement in at least one significant EPC / EPCM project and proven track record in engineering, procurement, construction and project controls
• Ability to operate independently or in a team environment
• Business development skills
• Sound knowledge of codes and standards
Working knowledge of project control systems.
