Introduction
Galenica was established in 1999 and remains privately owned. Headquartered in Medeon Science Park, Malmö, the company comprises three business units: a Contract Research-unit, Contract Manufacturing unit and the Pharma Business-unit. The portfolio of three pharmaceutical products within dermatology is marketed in multiple regions of Europe. The future holds great promise in working across both Rx and OTC business areas with current and future products. In addition, there are plans for expanding the geographical reach of the portfolio.

The role
Our small Sales & Marketing team engage across stakeholders, products, boarders and company functions to optimize our business and is looking for a Area Manager Dermatology to support Health Care Professionals (HCP´s) in treating patients dermatological skin disorders. The position is field based.

We are looking for an individual, with drive and ambition to be able to add value to HCP´s and patients. You should be capable of managing your own time and timely execute the planned activities. We hope that you are a team player and have a desire to be part of an innovating growing business that supports the development of products to improve patient lives. The position requires travels across the region.

Preferably you are located around the Stockholm area, and you will work under the guidance of our Director Sales and Marketing. Your primary role will be to deliver field-based daily support and information to HCP´s.

Primary responsibilities



Training and information

- Train and share latest clinical evidence and best practices around photo dynamic treatment (PDT) of actinic keratosis and basal cell carcinomas as well as management of eczema and dry skin with Health Care Professionals.
- Share practical hands-on tips regarding usage of Galenica products.
- Create extra value to HCP´s and patients by offering educations and support tools for better management of different skin diseases.
- Discuss Galenicas latest product information with HCP´s
- Collect insights of HCP unmet needs when it comes to management of different skin disorders and feed these back to our development department.

Establish Relationships

- Identify, engage, build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, that are needed for the execution of our strategies for the responsible therapeutic areas.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through all contacts to support our aim for being the preferred partner.
- Identify and analyze the market, prepare activities based on the tactical plan and execute accordingly in the area, all in close collaboration with your manager and team. Regularly evaluate and update tactic plans.
- Responsible for planning and execution of sales calls in your area towards targeted HCP´s
- Gather insights from the market with the purpose of developing an in-depth understanding of the dermatology market in order to identify growth levers.
- Adhere to industry rules, regulations and best practice guidelines.

Field

Spend up to approximately 80% of the time with external parties (Face to Face or digital).

Although there are defined areas of responsibility, our mindset is to consistently challenge each other and ourselves whilst working as a team. We are a small team and count on you to take a proactive role in developing our processes and the way we work.

Qualifications

- Clinical experience from dermatology (desired)
- Established relationships with accounts and HCP´s within the Dermatology field (desired)
- Experience and/or ability to train Health Care professionals in photo dynamic therapy, management of eczema and dry skin (desired)
- Bachelors´ degree within a relevant subject, e.g. nursing, pharmacy, medicine, or a commercial background with a passed LIF exam, or equivalent experience (required)
- Recent experience and an existing network in the field of dermatology (desired)
- Digital experience and mindset (desired)
- Ability to spend some nights away from home per month (required)
- Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English language, both in writing and verbal (desired) Entrepreneurial (desired)
- Positive, “can-do” attitude & mentality is needed to be able to take initiatives into your own direction (required)
- Excellent social skills with the ability to create access to customers and develop long lasting relationships and be the preferred partner (desired)

- Structured and well organized with an ability to work independently (desired)
- Appreciates and performs a clear and effective way of communication (required)
