Within Sales and Marketing, the Parts & Services Sales AOR & EMA has the responsibility for sales volumes and profitability in some of Scania's most expanding markets.
The Area Manager carries an overall responsibility in terms of sales performance and business development for a portfolio of markets, aligned with our ambition to become the leader in sustainable transports. That responsibility includes securing the transition from global to regional into market strategy by establishing the volume and pricing strategy, as well as together with the markets work with business development of strategic areas.
As an Area Manager you are a source of business intelligence on the assigned portfolio of markets and their voice within the Parts & Services organisation. As a part of the business development you will manage cross functional projects within the Head Office aiming to improve the prerequisites for sales in your assigned markets with a life cycle profit approach.

Main responsibilities
• Establish the pricing, volume- and market share targets together with the markets, aligned with our corporate targets
• Contribute with strategic input to the business plan for the assigned markets
• Actively drive and develop business analyses and challenge the market in order to reach improved results
• Identify new business opportunities and manage projects related to the development of the prerequisites for sales in the assigned markets
• Implement commercial decisions using established tools and processes
• Provide and continuously revise volume, profitability and market share forecasts and follow up results according to set processes
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to achieve common business objectives, ensuring that there is open and efficient cooperation
• Continuously develop the processes and tools used in order achieve speed and simplicity in our interactions with the markets
Profile
Commercial drive and service level in combination with accuracy, strong analytical and communication skills characterizes a successful Area Manager. You like change and enjoy developing and working with new ideas and concepts. You are a down to earth character driven by continuously improving our customers experience of Scania. You are flexible, have good social skills and are inspired by working and traveling in a multi-cultural environment. You are a team player who can take the lead to coordinate our cross functional resources to reach our operational goals.
An academic degree is required. It would be meriting, but not a requirement, if the degree is within engineering or business. Good communication skills and fluency in English are prerequisites. Additional languages are considered an advantage. Relevant work experience of minimum three years is deemed necessary to be successful in this role.
