Albany International, a global leader in the Processing Industry, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager, Engineered Fabrics, to expand our coverage in North and Central Europe. We specialize in the development, design, and marketing of products for the Nonwoven, Building Products, and Corrugated sectors. With cutting-edge technology and a commitment to meeting unique customer needs, Albany International is at the forefront of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will develop and execute plans to maintain and grow profitable sales, create accurate forecasts, and identify new opportunities. They will expand the customer base in alignment with strategic business plans, identify new business and product opportunities, and manage and service existing customer relationships.

Additionally, they will build and strengthen customer loyalty, establish strategic relationships across all customer functional areas, and liaise with technical and manufacturing teams at both internal and external customers. Furthermore, they will monitor competitor activities and develop strategies to counteract them.

Background

Degree in Engineering or a comparable university education.

In-depth knowledge of the Processing Industry, preferably in the Pulp and Paper or Nonwoven sectors.

Proven track record of sales growth.

Several years of experience in technology or technical support.

Proficient in written and oral communication in Swedish and English; knowledge of German is a plus.


We are looking for a candidate with strong engineering and analytical skills, combined with a sales and profit-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of working independently, team-oriented with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels. Strong communication and negotiation skills are also essential for this role.

The role is based from home and requires a willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
