Area Sales Manager, Market Unit Nordic

Volvo Penta, Industrial Segment is looking for a person with a positive can-do attitude and an entrepreneurial personality to join the Nordic Team as an Area Sales Manager. We want you to continue to build on the success, with the ambition to increase sales and profitability for existing and new customers in the Nordic countries, mainly in the Swedish market. Our customers offer a broad variety of applications, such as material handling, forestry, mining and gensets which adds to an exciting diversity in everyday work and provides a chance to learn extensively. The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden but involves frequent travelling and reports to the Sales Director for Northern Europe.
To be successful in the role we want you to utilize your creative skills to initiate and perform activities to grow market share with both new and existing accounts. You will be responsible for the sales of your customers, negotiate commercial agreements and work in a very close relationship with them to best understand their respective businesses and what it requires to provide the world class products and services that Volvo Penta has to offer. As a part of the task, you will need to be very active in getting a broad understanding of market conditions such as industry trends, competitors, market share etc. and you will also be highly involved in marketing activities such as exhibitions and events. You will interact frequently, with lean and strong communication skills, both with your customers as well as key internal stakeholders in order to get the best result and satisfy our customers. This position is a part of a team with skilled and inspired colleagues that will support your success but also count on you, being the account manager, to guide and steer them in their daily work.
Qualifications and Personal profile
Relevant education/degree for example Master of Science or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales, account management or project sales is required.
Result- and team-oriented personality with excellent communication skills.
Fluent in English is a prerequisite, additional languages such as Swedish would be a strong benefit.
Business acumen, team spirit, accountability, holistic view and a positive attitude are keywords in the selected candidate’s profile.
