Volvo Penta is growing its Marine Commercial business and we are now looking for someone that would like to be a part of that journey and the Nordic Marine Sales team. The Marine Sales Team in the Nordics consists of highly experienced and motivated people working with sales and application within Commercial and Leisure Marine business.


On the Marine Commercial side it’s crucial to build relationships and collaborate with the dealer network who play a key part in the sales process. It is also important to understand the needs of the shipyards, vessel designers and operators to find the most efficient solution for the purpose of the vessel at hand. As an Area Sales Manager you also consolidate and communicate voice of customer back to the product management team.


The Marine business is going through a transformation into new, more energy efficient and environmentally friendly power solutions, and the Marine Commercial sector is in the forefront, driving this development. We therefore believe that if you have an interest in or experience of electric/hybrid, renewable energy/fuels as well as integrated and digital services and solutions it would be a great benefit.


To be able to grow the business further and be a part of our great team we need someone that is highly collaborative, driven and curious. Someone that is willing to seek out and go after opportunities with high energy and motivation.


The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, but involves frequent travelling within the Nordic countries. You will report to the Sales Director for the Nordic Marine Sales Team.

Job description
Work closely with the dealer network to support and perform activities to grow market share with new and existing customers.
Build relationships with the customers to understand their business and requirements.
Understand your market’s needs and give input to the product management team about current and future requirements.
Negotiate commercial agreements.
Plan, forecast and follow up sales.
Be active in marketing activities such as exhibitions and events.



Qualifications and Personal profile
University degree in business, engineering or any other relevant field.
Experience in either marine sales, account management or project sales is required.
Result- and team-oriented personality with excellent communication skills.
Fluent in English and Swedish or Norwegian is a prerequisite.
Knowledge and interest in new power technologies is a benefit.
Energy, business mindset, curiousness, cooperative and team player are keywords in the selected candidate’s profile.
