Art Director

We are opening the exciting role of an Art Director in our Stockholm studio at Relax. You will be leading the Art Team whose main responsibility is creating stunning visuals for the games offered by Relax studios.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Art Director with a genuine passion for leading the creation of top-quality artwork for some of the best games in the Casino industry. The role of the Art Director is integral to our reputation with our operators and players. The role requires artistic talent, leadership skills, the ability to work within a team, and a keen eye for detail. At Relax, we are proud to provide our players with diverse art styles and themes across our games. As our Art Director, you'll be at the core of our creative process, guiding the visual direction for each game you lead.
Focus will be on ensuring a cohesive, high-quality look by guiding and supporting our team of talented artists. You’ll be comfortable jumping in to create assets yourself when needed.
Key Knowledge/Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years in game art and leadership roles, preferably as an Art Director in the gaming industry or casino.
Portfolio: A strong, visually compelling portfolio.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:
Define and maintain the artistic vision with the preproduction team, ensuring consistency across all visuals.
Lead, guide and support our artists and animators to deliver their best work.
Drive creativity and innovation in iGaming visuals.
Help foster a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Collaborate with the art and development team to ensure visual consistency as well as working closely with product owner for each game.
Develop concept art and final game art like; symbols, UI elements, characters, and environments.
Focus on quality and creativity within planned timelines.
Making sure our games look visually stunning!

Who You Are:
Experience in art direction or a similar role. You’re excited to inspire others and elevate game visuals. You’re collaborative, positive, and able to balance creative vision with production timelines. Good knowledge in all art disciplines (2D, 3D, animation, and VFX) is needed.

Photoshop – Clip Studio – After Effects – Spine - Nuke – Substance – Maya - Zbrush

Life at Relax
This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden. The Relax game studio in Stockholm is in the Galleria, right in the middle of the central part of the city. The studio is a five-minute walk from the central station and all types of shopping and restaurants can be found right outside our doorstep.
