Art Director

To ensure we stay ahead of our competitors and continue to build fantastic mobile casino games, which are enjoyed by over two million players so far, ELK Studios is now looking for an Art Director to join our studio in Stockholm. With your passion for breathing life into characters, creatures and objects you will help us evolve our games and ensure we develop amazing mobile casino games.
The Art Director role is to lead and guide the visual production of games, but also being responsible for the overall look of the games. It includes the following key responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Direct the visual style of games, communicate a clear vision for a game and direct a team of creatives to help execute that vision
Collaborate with other art directors to create, maintain and enforce usage of art and animation pipelines and processes
Take ownership of and perform onboarding and training of artists and animators
Secure high quality and accuracy of all art assets
Create concepts, designs and storyboards
Provide day-to-day guidance, direction and support to artists
Work closely with the game teams to in collaboration build best in class slot games
Partner with production to ensure schedules and plans meet business and project needs
Helping to develop the graphical pipeline, making recommendations and ensuring that the artists have the tools and support necessary to best achieve artistic objectives



Experience and skills                                                                     
At least 5 years’ of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge in Photoshop and After Effects
Creative and innovative to find solutions which maximizes the game experience in relation to the technical limitations
Experience from game development
Understanding of core principles of animation
Good eye for layout
Self-driven, responsible and passionate about details
Ability to tackle challenges and solve problems with a strong sense of ownership
Strong passion for making the best gambling experiences ever
Ability to work closely with many other disciplines and be a team player
Excellent communication skills
Organized with the ability to deliver on deadlines
Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
Located in Stockholm
