The Asset Creation Team- let’s introduce ourselves
The Asset Creation team is responsible for planning, purchasing and producing our creative assets used in global campaigns and for the web. Our team consists of Art Buyers, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, and Digital Content Lead. 

Willingness to continually learn, having an open mind, and being able to align with our shared objectives are vital. You will collaborate with various teams to execute on briefs and ensure top quality production. The production of the creative assets is always a team effort. Social skills and a collaborative mindset are a must.

Art Director – this is what you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Art Director who can collaborate and lead creative but pragmatic minds. Collaboration is key. Internally across multiple departments within Volvo and externally with agencies, design studios, and production companies. Always with an effort to create unique campaigns, assets, and experiences with a target audience in mind. 

You will, together with our Creative Directors, be involved in the initial planning stages until the final delivery. Sometimes hands-on and sometimes directing and steering a supplier. 

Further, you should understand concepts, photo- and film production, graphic design, and experimental design — also an updated understanding of the media landscape and the latest pop culture trends. You will be the advocate for the consumer, and you will challenge and inspire our company to bring your creative ideas to life. 

To succeed as Art Director, you should be a creative and communicative multitasker.

We believe you that have an eye for the details. You love visuals and have no problem visualizing your ideas. You have an eye for compelling creative and inspiring storytelling while inspiring people around you to see the bigger picture. You are used to taking and giving feedback on creative work. You have been working with a variety of global brands, understanding the cultural differences and challenges around the globe. 

You are a curious, creative visionary who lives for execution, and knows how to present and pitch your ideas. 

Volvo Cars is a global company, so you need to be proficient in English, verbally and written, as well as have an interest and ability to travel.

Qualifications:
•    Minimum 5 years working experience from an ad agency, design agency, or similar role at a client
•    You have been working with various global brands, understanding the cultural differences and challenges
•    Experience building stories and presentations to pitch your ideas
•    Experience in art directing photo and film productions
•    Work experience from commonly used software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, etc.
•    Proof of previous work and portfolio
•    Proficient in English
