Turborilla is one of Sweden’s leading independent game studios, responsible for the Mad Skills games. These games have nearly 70 million downloads, 27 billion races played and at least 6075 years of spent toilet time.
We are looking for an Art Manager with the ability to working with both 2D and 3D. You need to understand both the technical requirements for creating art for mobile games and the important of usability of UIs.
In short, you are an experienced artist that have released mobile games with the ability to manage your peer Artists.
As an art manager, you will spend about 80% of your time at work as an experienced artist with responsibilities related to your profession, and 20% of your time on manager responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Create 2D and 3D assets for mobile games such as characters, vehicles, environment assets and props.
- Work with the development team to create UI art from the mock-up phase to final production.
- Assist producer to estimate and plan art production
- Ability to manage junior and fellow artists
- Help the team members increase their productivity
- Attend regular meetings with other managers at Turborilla to discuss best practices, share knowledge, and contribute to enhancing processes at the company
- Follow the company manager Employee Handbook
Requirements
- Expert level understanding of Maya/3D Studio and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of game development process
- Fluent in English
- Interpersonal skills / communicative and motivational
Bonus

- Experience from working with Unity

The position is full time, and the studio is based in Umeå, Sweden, which means relocation would potentially be needed.
