Drive our digital transformation
We are on an exciting journey within Volvo Group Digital & IT. Digital Delivery is a new function within the Volvo Group Digital & IT that aims to identify and execute on new digital software product initiatives and modernize existing solutions across the Volvo Group brands. With a new product-centric operating model and modern technology architecture we create products that are profitable, scalable and differentiated. We use a cross functional approach to work on product design and development that improves business performance and creates value for the entire Volvo Group. In this position you will contribute to, and in some cases, lead the software development of these XR centric products.
What you will do
As a software engineer in the Mobile/XR chapter you are a passionate and skilled developer. You will work in global and cross-functional teams to develop software solutions. You will combine best practices and developed solutions with innovative thinking to create new digital products. Your main responsibility will be to work with our engineering group to develop solutions for our dealers, technicians, and customers.
You will work closely with stakeholders and fellow developers to be in line with changing business needs. You will contribute to XR applications that change the way we do business and set standards for our future development.
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to, and in some cases, lead the development of AR/VR solutions for Volvo Group Trucks Technology in an agile way
Leverage established best practices to create scalable and sustainable products
Set new standards and provide documentation where appropriate
Collaborate with third party suppliers to develop solutions
Share best practices and innovations with the larger practitioner community
Continuously learn and develop your skills in the Mobile/XR domain
Who are you?
You are a passionate, innovative, and driven software engineer with professional experience of AR/VR development. Building successful software solutions and solving new challenges motivate and energize you. You learn fast and approach problems with solution-oriented thinking. You collaborate well with others and can thrive in multi-cultural & multi-disciplinary teams. Using cutting edge technology to solve both new and old problems excite you.
Desired skills:
Professional level knowledge of Unity 3D and C# in the context of software development
Performance tuning and optimization skills
Knowledge of deploying Unity 3D applications and XR applications to mobile platforms
Experience with the Microsoft HoloLens 2 is a plus
Experience working with API’s and API integration is desired
Experience with Cloud storage, Azure DevOps, and source code control is desired
Relevant University degree in Computer Science or similar experience
Excellent proficiency in English is a requirement

Location of position
This job position is located in Gothenburg (Sweden) but other locations can be considered if there is a good match between skills and profile requirement.
