High quality and innovative SoC/ASIC designs are important factors for our continued growth and future success. There are still many challenges ahead of us and we are looking for an ASIC- or Software Engineer with a genuine interest in hardware design to strengthen our Chip Platforms team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As part of the Chip Platforms team you will have possibility to learn how to implement high performance and power efficient hardware in the latest technology nodes. The team is responsible for ASIC design of the ARTPEC™ (AXIS RealTime Picture Encoder). ARTPEC™ are the Application Processors for AXIS products. We are responsible for system, synthesis, design, verification, technology evaluation, low power design, floorplan, selection of ASIC and IP partners.
Your tasks will mainly be in the following area:
* Synthesis of RTL
* Low power validation
* Low power estimation
* Low power architecture
* ASIC floorplan
* Tool evaluation
* Methodology enhancement
* Script writing
* Contact with ASIC vendors
* Giving feedback to IP designers
The work will be done in close cooperation with ASIC design and verification teams and architects to find the optimal solutions. You will also work with ASIC partners to understand new technology and guidelines to utilise technology the best way.
We are an established team and we are able to adapt to personal interests.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONs
We are looking for both graduate students and engineers with a couple of years of experience and interest in electronic design, you are expected to have at least a Master's degree in engineering.
Skills seen as a merit:
* Good programming and scripting skills
* Understanding of ASIC technology
* RTL design in Verilog and/or VHDL
* Synthesis and STA
* Low power design and optimization
* Power intent specification in UPF or CPF
* Low power rule checking
We believe that you are a highly motivated person with good communication skills in both English and Swedish. You are also able to work efficiently both individually with limited supervision as well as within a team of other highly skilled engineers.

We file patents and publish papers and get invitations to present them at EDA and other conferences.
