ASIC Implementation Engineer

We are now looking for several ASIC Implementation Engineers to further strengthen our ASIC System team in Lund.

Who is your future team?
The ASIC System team plays an important role in the development of next generations of ARTPEC chips. We are responsible both for the SoC architecture and the ASIC implementation phase and takes an active part in both ongoing ASIC projects as well as monitoring of design flows and technology trends that are crucial for future generations of ARTPEC chips.

The ASIC System team consists of Project Managers, System Architects, Low-Power, PI/SI, Package, Synthesis, STA and Back-End Engineers. Our team is responsible for the overall specification as well as the execution of the ASIC projects. We work in close collaboration with our ASIC vendor, our internal RTL design and verification teams as well as key internal stakeholders to specify required functionality of the SoC design.

We are a highly skilled and motivated team with a mix of both junior and senior team members. Our strength lies not only in the individual competence of each team member but also in the open working environment and strong collaboration within our team.

What you will do as ASIC Implementation Engineer
As an ASIC Implementation Engineer you will work with a broad range of tasks such as floorplanning, synthesis, equivalence checking, power integrity and timing closure. Our team has a key role in the implementation phase where we bring all new functionality into working silicon. This is done in close collaboration with the RTL design team as well as the ASIC vendor throughout all phases of the project.

The ASIC Implementation Engineer plays an important role in the ASIC project and have a large impact on the performance and quality of the ARTPEC chips. You will be part of a team that have the expert knowledge of all implementation details and design checks required to get an optimal chip out of advanced ASIC technology nodes. We use state of the art tools and design flows and are continuously improving our way of working to be ready for the next round of design complexity and technology challenge.

We are now looking for several ASIC Implementation Engineers to strengthen our team. Some typical areas that you will participate in as ASIC Implementation Engineer are:

* Top level floorplan and power planning
* Subsystem partitioning and macro placement
* Block and subsystem physical synthesis
* Low power implementation
* Top level I/O timing constraints development
* Timing optimizations and timing closure
* Static and dynamic IR-drop analysis
* Equivalence checking
* Evaluation of new tools and technologies

Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We are looking for highly motivated engineers who wants to make a difference. Suitable background would be a bachelor or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering physics or similar. We are looking for both junior and senior engineers and hope you will bring qualities like:

* Knowledge of ASIC technologies and low-power implementation flows
* Experience from EDA tools used for floorplanning, synthesis and timing closure
* Experience from writing SDC based timing constraints for STA and for driving implementation tools
* Experience from UPF based low-power implementation flows
* Programming and scripting skills in C, Python, TCL and similar languages
* Good presentation and communication skills in English
