We are now seeking a talented and ambitious Digital ASIC Physical Design Engineer to strengthen our ASIC team in Gothenburg, Sweden. Do you want to make a difference and strengthen the development of Fingerprint’s sensor technology?

What you will do

As a Digital ASIC Physical Design Engineer, you will work in close cooperation with talented colleagues developing future sensor systems to meet future demands for fingerprint systems. You will develop Fingerprints sensor technology with focus on the physical implementation of the digital parts. In the ASIC team you will get in touch and be involved in all aspects of ASIC development flow. From ASIC system design, RTL implementation, block and system level verification, synthesis & layout to GDSII and wafer production test.

To succeed in the role as a Digital ASIC Physical Design Engineer you need to master synthesis, digital place & route, static timing analysis and need also to be able to support, develop and drive improvements of the physical design flow and process.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent scientific discipline
• Hands-on experience in physical design, timing closure and solving congestion problem
• Excellent understanding industry standard tools for place & route and signoff flows
• Expert in scripting languages (shell, Perl, TCL)
• Good knowledge in digital ASIC/FPGA design and verification is a plus
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
