Do you want to work with advanced ASIC development in the forefront of technology? Are you ready to join a team responsible for the very heart of the Axis products - the ARTPEC chip - where your contribution really matters and where team collaboration is the way to success? We are now looking for several ASIC System Engineers to further strengthen our ASIC System team in Lund.

Who is your future team?
The ASIC System team plays an important role in the development of next generations of ARTPEC chips. We are responsible for the SoC architecture and the ASIC implementation phase and takes an active part in both ongoing ASIC projects as well as monitoring of design flows and technology trends that are crucial for future generations of ARTPEC chips.

The ASIC System team consists of Project Managers, System Architects, Low-Power, PI/SI, Package, Synthesis, STA and Back-End Engineers. Our team is responsible for the overall specification as well as the execution of the ASIC projects. We work in close collaboration with our ASIC vendor, our internal RTL design and verification teams as well as key internal stakeholders to specify required functionality of the SoC design.

We are a highly skilled and motivated team with a mix of both junior and senior team members. Our strength lies not only in the individual competence of each team member but also in the open working environment and strong collaboration within our team. We are now looking for several ASIC System Engineers to strengthen our team in the following areas:

System architecture

* CPU, cache and memory hierarchies
* System buses and high-speed interconnects
* Multimedia (video & audio) system architecture
* Subsystem partitioning and interface specifications

Low-power architecture

* Low power use-cases and requirements
* Power domain specifications
* Multi-voltage specifications
* DVFS scenarios

Package and PI/SI

* Package and ball-map specifications
* Bump-map optimizations
* System level PI/SI analysis
* 2.5D/3D stacking technologies

External interfaces

* Ethernet, PCIe, SDIO, USB, GPIO, Q-SPI and Flash
* IP specifications and reviews
* Electrical specifications

What you will do as ASIC System Engineer
The ASIC System Engineer plays an important role throughout the ASIC project and have a strong impact on the next generation of ARTPEC chips. You will not only specify important system level requirements in the early phases of the project but also and participate in the implementation, manufacturing and silicon bring-up phases to secure that the chip will fulfil all our expectations.

Some typical areas that you will participate in as ASIC System Engineer are:

* Discuss and specify SoC requirements
* Define system level architecture
* Evaluate and select 3'rd party IPs
* Specify requirements for internal IPs
* Support RTL design and verification teams
* Define and refine our way of working, design flow and general project setup

There will be some traveling needed from time to time to visit our ASIC vendors and IP suppliers.

Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We are looking for highly motivated engineers who wants to make a difference. Suitable background would be a bachelor or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering physics or similar and with previous experience of ASIC development. We are looking for both junior and senior engineers and hope you will bring qualities like:

* Knowledge of ASIC technologies, design, verification, testing and manufacturing
* Understanding of SoC architecture
* Good understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software interaction
* Structured and well skilled in documentation
* Good presentation and communication skills in English

As a person we believe you are analytical and systematic. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and ideas with both senior and junior team members. As teamwork is crucial for Axis it is important that you can contribute to a good team spirit promoting a creative and stimulating work environment.

You will be given a large responsibility of the overall SoC architecture and have a key role in the ASIC development project. The role is very flexible and comes with a large part of individual responsibility. You will be challenged but you will never be left alone.

At start you will be provided with a mentor that will help you during the onboarding program and accelerate your ramp-up, personal development and guide you through Axis giving you a foundation for a great network within the company.
