About the assignment, AstraZeneca

Are you interested to work in a global role within IT? The Global Data Team is now looking for a Business Analyst / Data Management until end 2018, which can be in the UK or Sweden AZ manufacturing sites. The Global Data Team operates across Operations Global functions as well as Regional.

The team sits in Operations IT, a customer facing function within IT supporting Operations within AZ. The Global Data Team owns and manages the SAP MDM system and is aligned to Business processes (GPO´s/BPOs) as well as IT BA´s supporting the functional areas. The team consults in Data Quality improvements and designs information flows across our systems, considering the overall IT landscape as well as other business requirements that add complexity to the information flow.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Business Analyst / Data Management, you will coordinate and manage Data-related activities in projects and as a person, you are comfortable in a stream lead role. You are knowledgeable in the business processes you support and able to focus on critical data attributes, data flows (where are the attributes used) and data quality. You will align data architecture with business processes as well as technical architecture. To be successful in this role, good attention to detail is essential.

 

Other accountabilities as a Business Analyst / Data Management include:
• Apply Governance where needed in IT and address the need for Governance with relevant BPO´s.
• Advise, consult and train BPO´s and BA´s in Data Governance and Data Quality.
• Triage new requirements alongside the business, providing both impact assessments and appropriate estimates for solutions.
• Query key systems to identify problems and propose solutions as appropriate.
• Document data flows and source mapping where applicable.
• You will be expected to work on multiple projects of varying size and complexity and different timelines; being able to effectively self-manage your time and priorities is crucial to the job.

 

Essential Requirements:
• Knowledge and understanding of how information flows around a business area such as Supply Chain, Quality or Manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build senior level relationships.
• Knowledge and understanding of SAP standard architecture and ways of working.
• Knowledge and understanding of other Global Systems and ways of working.
• Fluent in English.
• A passion for Data within business processes and their importance in driving business performance.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Interpersonal skills
