The Chief Engineer area is consisting of 20 persons located globally with purpose to be the main technical contact person to our customers. For placement in Sweden we are now seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer responsible for a German customer.

Job profile
As an Assistant Chief Engineer you will be R&D responsible for a specific customer. Furthermore responsible for defining the "What & When" within R&D that must be executed in the projects.
Your main duties will be to support and drive the projects that are active within the department. You will ensure that projects are progressing, that the members of the project have the right resources and that the targets that are set are achieved. You will participate in meetings and ensure that new as well as ongoing projects have the right focus.

An important part of your role is to question, prioritize and sort information that concerns projects or other important processes within the department. You will also be responsible of closure and follow ups of the R&D part of the projects.

You can lead and manage projects; your personality shows that you are analytical, proactive and reliable. In addition you should have a clear focus and be a fearless problem solver and you should be able to explain advanced technology in a simple way.

Candidate profile
Education:
. University degree in, master or bachelor, in mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
Experience and skills:
. Experience within design work, preferably within technology areas with similarities to the actual position.
. Fluent knowledge in English, spoken and written.
. Preferably fluent / native knowledge in customer language
. General knowledge of development processes, methods, and tools.
. Personal qualities appropriate for working in a design team; analytic, structured, good communicative skills and able to take initiatives.
. Preferably past OEM experience.
. Project leader experience
