Assistant Chief Engineer - (Mullsjö, Sweden)

The Chief Engineer area is consisting of 20 persons located globally with purpose to be the main technical contact person to our customers. For placement in our Mullsjö tech center we are now seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer for French customers. Placement in Paris could be discussed.
Main objectives
Assistant Chief Engineer main objectives are to be the main technical contact for the assigned customer. Translating the customer requirements to KA. Lead KA engineering team to meet timing, technical requirements and cost target on product. Being the R&D participant into the Customer Focus Team.
Areas of responsibility
. Being customer R&D interface.
. Find, understand and communicate customer requirements
. Lead internal KA R&D team in development activities in projects.
. Ensure that KA quality system are properly documented and followed
. Balancing requirements.
. Ensure KA R&D deliverables internally and externally regarding timing, requirements and cost.
. Escalate any obstacles that endangering project execution.
Personal tasks
. Build up strong relationship with customer, from engineering level up to management level.
. Understand customer requirements and future needs.
. Share summary of customer needs within KA organization
. Plan, call and lead regularly R&D project meetings with clear agenda and action lists.
. Ensure full control of R&D deliverables into the projects.
. Build up own competence in all KA DS product areas.
. Lead, plan and follow up R&D actions in running projects and task forces, including preparing summarizes internally and externally.
. Identify resource needs for projects and request allocation of these resources from line managers.
. Enable and ensure communication is established between R&D and other KA functions.
Main challenges
. To build up a strong and thrust full relationship with the customer. Aiming to be the natural speaking partner for the customer for new projects, ongoing issues and daily work
. To ensure all R&D deliverables in different projects.
. To build up strong project teams that understands the project targets and knows the different deliverables.
Candidate profile
Education:
. University degree in, master or bachelor, in mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
Experience and skills:
. Experience within design work, preferably within technology areas within Automotive and Shift Systems.
. Fluent knowledge in English, spoken and written.
. Fluent knowledge in French, spoken and written
. General knowledge of development processes, methods, and tools.
. Personal qualities appropriate for working in a design team; analytic, structured, good communicative skills and able to take initiatives.
. Preferably past OEM experience.
. Project leader experience.
