We welcome your application for the position of Assistant Lecturer in Acting with the specialization on movement performance.
Job description 
We are looking for someone who wants to work with teaching and supervision of students and follow the artistic development of individual students in movement design. Within the framework of the subject of movement design, you will be responsible for the actor's specific basic training, i.e. fitness, endurance, ability for various physical expressions.

In addition to basic training, the subject also includes helping students find the balance between their own work with the body and an integration of the stage character work, individually and in an ensemble. You will actively contribute to students' acquisition of knowledge to critically examine and participate in the development of the field of acting.

Your work tasks also include:


• Responsible for and developing the movement subject within the department's courses and programmes together with the rest of the college and the Head of Department.
• Contribute to the development of the bachelor's degree in acting, existing and new courses and programmes in relation to other majors in the department in close collaboration with the College.
• Work on course administration such as planning, course evaluation, scheduling and course development.
• Actively monitor and contribute to students' artistic development.
• Actively follow developments in the student's own subject area and in society in general that have an impact on the work of the School.
• Participate in the departmental development work and collaborate both internally within the SKH’s and with external partners.
• Contributes to the development of the SKH's education and research and promotes integration between them

As an assistant lecturer you will have an important role in the work of building a common culture of openness and collaboration at SKH, as well as in the creation of a good work environment.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the position of assistant lecturer you have to demonstrate teaching skills, have a degree from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent skills that are significant with reference to the content of the subject and the duties included in the position.

Detailed information regarding qualifications and assessment criteria for teaching appointments is stated in Chapter 4 Sections 3 and 4 of the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance.

The job requires knowledge and experience of working with the actor's artistic processes and with the body as the actor's instrument, and that you have several years experience of teaching movement.

In addition, you have those personal abilities required to competently fulfil the appointment and to be able to represent the university in a manner beneficial to the organisation.

Assessment criteria
The following criteria will be assessed, in this order of priority:


• Teaching skills; proven teaching skills in an artistic context within or outside a university context.
• Proven experience in teaching movement to actors.
• Ability to describe and reflect on your teaching and pedagogical approach.
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in at least one Scandinavian language and in English.
• Demonstrated good collaboration skills
• Interest in artistic research

About the position
The scope of employment is full-time position and it is a fixed period of five years, after which the period of the employment must be renewed. However, the total period of the employment may not exceed more than ten years. Employment to commence by agreement.
