These are exciting roles for 2 motivated Assistant Principals to create an excellent school within a high achieving organisation. These roles are important positions within the school and come with high expectations, a demand for professionalism and a clear vision that follows that of the Principal and the organisation.

The Assistant Principals will lead the school in pastoral affairs. They will build upon and implement behavior and welfare systems in the school, enabling teachers to teach and students to learn. As part of the school leadership team they will work closely with the Principal and Academic Managers and have responsibility for the Years F-4 (Fritids included) & 5-9 -  each Assistant Principal will be responsible for their Student Care Teams (EHT) and Heads of Years. 

The successful candidates will be forward-thinking and positive role models within the school, with the ability to inspire both students and staff. They will be autonomous and will follow through with school policies and their own ideas. They will be a strong and inspirational presence around the school/community and always be visible.

The ideal candidates have teaching qualifications, a proven track record in pastoral support along with leadership experience. We feel that the right attitude is important, which is why we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, focused and resilient to the day-to-day pressures that working in education can bring. This position is a permanent position with the ability to develop and  further a career within the organisation. We place great importance in already holding an assistant principal position, kommunal or IES. 

Internationella Engelska Skolan Kungsbacka is a Swedish compulsory school, years F to 9. The school is bilingual (Swedish and English) and about half of our outstanding teachers and staff will eventually come from abroad, giving the school its strong international profile. The school will open in August 2021 growing to full capacity by academic year 2023/2024 with three parallel classes in years F to 9; with just over 960 students and 100 staff members we will be an exciting school to be working within. The school is located in the middle of the new Aranäs Sports Park in Kungsbacka, and is surrounded by the latest and best sports facilities Kungsbacka has to offer.
