At Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) we make a difference in the lives of our students. We believe this is due to our clear ethos with engaged and visible leaders creating an environment in which teachers can teach and students learn. IES schools have a dynamic international atmosphere with staff and students from all over the world. Our schools are open to all with applications from students accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
IES Landskrona opened its doors in 2017 and is a school for grades F-9 with around 600 students and 70 staff. We follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to 50% of teaching in English. A new Principal will lead the school from June 2021, so this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the next chapter for the school’s leadership team.
The role
The Assistant Principal will play a central role in the school’s development, leading daily activities across the senior school. You will promote excellence in education ensuring a calm environment where teachers can teach and students learn. You will lead and develop Heads of Year and the Student Care team (including elevhälsoteam), working closely with the Principal in health promotion and preventative work.

You are a visible role model with a strong presence in the daily life of the school. You have the ability to exploit what works well and at the same time drive improvements.
You are able to engage and inspire both students and staff. You have a coaching style, creating opportunities for responsibility and growth. You communicate clearly and have the courage to turn words into action whatever the situation. You are flexible and adaptable to change, whilst focusing on outcomes.
You have teaching qualifications, leadership experience and an international perspective with a strong understanding of the IES vision.
