Information about the Laboratory
At the Microwave Electronics Laboratory, we focus on application driven research on high speed electronic components, circuits and systems for future communication and remote sensing applications. The research spans frequencies from below 1 GHz to 500 GHz. We demonstrate innovative microwave components and circuits in our own fabrication lab, the Nanofabrication Laboratory at MC2, or
at external cooperation partners/foundries. We characterize our components and circuits in our measurement laboratory.

Major responsibilities
To manage research projects in close cooperation with external partners from industry and academy, to supervise PhD-students, and conduct own research on modeling and characterization of novel semiconductor devices based on Galliumnitride and other material. The position is meritorious for future research duties within academia as well as industry/the public sector.
Position summary
Full-time temporary employment for a maximum of four years. Progress will be assessed after two years. You are expected to achieve associate professor expertise within four years.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of non-tenured assistant professor, you must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field; the degree should generally not be older than five years. You are expected to be somewhat accustomed to teaching, and to demonstrate good potential within research and education. Experience to manage research projects in close cooperation with external partners from industry and academy is meritorious. Experiences of supervising doctoral students is also a merit.
The position requires sound verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English. Chalmers offers Swedish courses.
