Major responsibilities
Your main duty as a tenure-track assistant professor is to perform your own research as a member of a research group. The position also includes teaching for about 20% of your working hours, on undergraduate and master's levels, as well as supervising and co-supervising PhD students. Another important aspect involves international collaboration with academia, industry and society at large. The position is meritorious for future positions within academia as well as industry/the public sector.
Position summary
Full-time temporary employment for a maximum of four years. Progress will be assessed after two years. You are expected to achieve associate professor expertise within four years. The position is funded primarily within the Sensors work package in the Graphene Flagship, and the research profile must be compatible with the funding source.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of a tenure-track assistant professor, you must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field; the degree should not be older than five years. You are expected to be somewhat accustomed to teaching and supervision, and to demonstrate good potential within research and education. Experience from a postdoc position or qualified research and development in industry is meritorious.
The position requires sound verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English. Chalmers offers Swedish courses.
