Associate Director - Analytical Chemistry

Arbetsbeskrivning

Support to Marketed OTC Products

The leader of this section, a part of Analytical Development (AD) R&D, will be in the leadership team at AD and the responsibilities will be to support marketed OTC products. A close collaboration with quality control laboratories, the formulation support to marketed products and a European deployment organisation will be important. Given that it is a group of four principal scientists and two contractor senior scientists to manage there will be strategically leadership, a substantial part of operational responsibilities and budget responsibility included in the role.

The Support to Marketed Products (SMP) -work will include larger projects such as analytical support to reformulations and process changes. Also larger issues connected to the production that will need R&D and analytical chemistry input will be within the scope. The SMP-support will include work related to finished products, APIs and excipients.

Another important area is to identify compliance gaps and when needed develop and validate new analytical methods or revalidate current methods as part of the specifications. In this process the applicable cGMP requirements and regulatory guideline requirements will need to be well understood.

The current main focus from a product perspective is to support the NicoretteT product portfolio but will in the future include all products developed at R&D Helsingborg such as Digestive Health and Cough/Cold. The product portfolio is a global portfolio why a broad knowledge of worldwide requirements for analytical methods, specifications and stability testing is a merit.
